Document Requirements
The
Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law welcomes the submission of
articles, comments, book reviews, and notes from judges, academics,
practicing lawyers, and students. To submit your manuscript, please
follow the instructions below.
The final submissions deadline for our Fall issue is August 1, 2009. The submissions deadline for our Spring issue is January 1, 2010. However, we accept submissions on a rolling basis and encourage authors to submit articles as early as possible to ensure that there is still space available. If authors expect their submission to be ready on or close to the deadline, they should communicate with us as soon as possible and provide a working draft, so that we expect it and can work with the author regarding the submission process.
All submissions must be in a common format, preferably Microsoft Word. The document should be single-spaced with footnotes rather than endnotes. Citations should conform with The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (18th ed.), or ALWD Citation Manual (2nd ed.), and where applicable The Texas Rules of Form (10th ed.).
TJOGEL does not enforce a maximum or minimum length for articles. However, our aim is for most of the articles to be of a length that can be read in a single setting.

A Note on Editing
The
Journal aspires to keep editorial interventions to a minimum, namely,
whatever is necessary for the sake of (clearly) good grammar and spelling.
Questions of style will be ignored almost altogether once a piece has been selected.
If you have questions regarding submissions, please email info@tjogel.org.
