Why Donate to TJOGEL?
While the
Journal is published under the umbrella of the UT Law
Publications department, no financial support is
provided by the school. Getting a journal off the
ground poses unique challenges, and your
tax-deductible contribution to the Journal will go a
long ways in assuring initial success.
The money raised will be used to get the initial issue to as many potential long-term subscribers as possible. The larger our subscriber base becomes, the less expensive the journal will be for readers. The high cost of printing and shipping has put substantial pressure on the journal to raise money from generous donors who want to see a high quality publication that reflects well on a law school.

What are the Benefits of Donating?
Contributions
to the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas and Energy Law are
tax-deductible, and the Law School will provide a
receipt with the applicable 501(c)(3) codes. Also,
the Law School can provide the application for
Matching Funds for employers who participate in this
program. All contributions will be noted in the
Dean’s Townes Hall Notes alumni magazine. Please
write your check to UT Law Publications, and mail it
to the address above. Be sure to write in the memo
line: Texas Journal of Oil, Gas and Energy
Law—otherwise the contribution will not be directed
to our journal.
In addition you or your organization will be invited to TJOGEL events which include the Spring Symposium, Banquet, Careers in Energy Law, and noted as a donor in the print publication.
